When we brought the legendary ATH-M50x studio sound into the world of personal wireless audio, we created what are, simply, the best-sounding wireless headphones on the market. But we weren’t content to stop there. Introducing the ATH-M50xBT2, the second generation of our critically acclaimed M-Series wireless over-ear headphones, featuring a number of enhancements to improve performance and usability. But don’t worry – we’ve changed nothing about the critically acclaimed sonic signature. The M50xBT2 delivers the same exhilarating wireless listening experience as its predecessor, offering exceptional clarity and deep, accurate bass response. There’s even the option to adjust the headphone’s EQ settings, if you so choose – make the changes in the A-T Connect app and save directly to the headphones. In addition, we have greatly improved vocal pickup, incorporating beamforming microphone technology for clearer phone calls and communication with the built-in Amazon Alexa voice assistant. We’ve also added multipoint pairing to let you connect wirelessly to two devices at once. An updated USB-C connection, a low latency mode, and compatibility with high-quality audio codecs round out the enhancements.
CRITICALLY ACCALIMED SOUND: Wireless design delivers the same sonic performance as the original ATH-M50x professional studio headphones
BATTERY LIFE: Up to 50 hours of use on a full charge and up to 3 hours of use on a 10-minute rapid charge
DEEP, ACCURATE BASS: Proprietary 45 mm drivers and dedicated amplifier deliver exceptional clarity throughout an extended frequency range
MULTIPOINT PAIRING: Connect to two Bluetooth devices at once
CRYSTAL-CLEAR CALLS: Dual mics and beamforming technology ensure crystal-clear call quality

Title: Studio-Quality Sound with Wireless Freedom — Absolutely Love These!
Review: I don’t usually leave reviews, but these headphones deserve every bit of praise. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 absolutely exceeded my expectations.SOUND QUALITY:The audio is simply incredible — rich, detailed, and balanced. The bass is tight and punchy without being overwhelming, mids are clear and natural, and highs are crisp without harshness. I can pick up nuances in my music that I never noticed before. Whether it’s casual listening, mixing, or watching movies, these deliver studio-quality sound.BLUETOOTH PERFORMANCE:Seamless connection with my devices (both Android and Windows PC). The low latency is noticeable — movies and YouTube videos stay perfectly in sync, and I haven’t experienced a single dropout. Plus, multipoint pairing is a great bonus.COMFORT:Super comfortable even during long listening sessions. The ear pads are soft and the headband has just the right amount of clamping force. I can wear them for hours without fatigue.BATTERY LIFE:Battery life is phenomenal. I get days of use on a single charge, and USB-C charging is fast and convenient.BUILD QUALITY:Solid and durable — typical Audio-Technica craftsmanship. They feel like a professional tool, not a cheap plastic toy.OVERALL:If you’re looking for wireless headphones that sound like true wired studio monitors, look no further. The ATH-M50xBT2 hits that rare sweet spot of pro audio quality with wireless convenience. Highly recommended — one of the best purchases I’ve made this year!

Title: Great bluetooth on-ear headphones
Review: Sound quality: very goodBattery life: excellentComfort: very comfortable, but high headband clamping pressureBuild quality: excellentPortability: pretty goodI had my eye on these headphones for a while, but never pulled the trigger, as they are not cheap as far as these type of headphones go. I will be using this almost exclusively for media viewing on my tablet at night. I also wanted something semiportable for occasional travel. I will sometimes use them for music, although I own a high-end audio system for that purpose. I have 2 pair of Focal headphones for serious listening sessions. The sound quality is very good, although I do wish they had a little more volume to them. If you wanted that, you’ll need to run them in wired mode and use a dedicated headphone amp. The bluetooth works very well, and the app allows equalization among other settings. It is not necessary to use the app to use the headphones. The bluetooth pairing was fast and painless. They are extremely comfortable. The material of the earcups and headband are high-quality. I find the headband clamping pressure to be higher than I like, but the headphones are so comfortable that I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. They are also comfortable while wearing eyeglasses. The joints appear to be well-designed and strong. I usually do not buy headphones that are foldable for this reason, as they just don’t last, even when treated gently. I don’t think that is the case here.Unlike some of the better bluetooth headphones out there, the control buttons are placed so that they’re actually usable. Other high-end brands that I’ve owned had terrible ergonomics in this regard. The battery life seems excellent. After 1 week of daily use, the battery charge has hardly changed from a full charge.I bought a pair that were Amazon reconditioned. They appeared lightly used, but not in like-new condition. The product description made it seem like they were either open-box or unused and repaired. The only reason that I’m not complaining is that I got these for a very good price. So far, so good. Recommended.

Title: Great sound, starting to show age after 3 years
Review: I’ve had these headphones for over three years, and they still sound great. They’re lightweight and only start to feel uncomfortable after very long sessions without breaks (around five hours for me). The ear cups are just now starting to show their age, but replacements are easy to find online. If I could change anything, I’d love the option to use USB-C for audio and have more control over how they auto-connect to Bluetooth devices. They sometimes connect to random devices in my house, play the confirmation tone, then disconnect from that new device, and play the disconnect confirmation tone once more—briefly interrupting whatever I’m listening to, which is pretty annoying. That said, they’ve been durable, reliable, and I can easily see myself using them for another three years. I’d only replace them if I lost or damaged them.

Title: Almost Exactly Like the Original – The Good and Bad
Review: This wireless version of the ATH-M50x is almost exactly like the original in terms of sound quality and comfort. The sound quality is pretty decent for headphones in this price range. The M50x will always be energetic and bright in terms of sound signature. Usually, the wireless version of a headphone will dull that energy. I found the sound to be very similar to the wired version. As for comfort, the M50x has always caused ear pains for me after wearing them for a few hours. It is the same for the BT2. I have never tried aftermarket ear pads, so I don’t know if there is a better solution out there. Changing to different ear pads will alter the sound signature and affect the sound isolation as well.I have also compared these headphones with the vaunted Sony WH-1000XM5s. The Sony’s active noise canceling is pretty amazing, arguably the best in the business. The ATH-M50x does not have active noise cancellation but the sound isolation from the ear pads is actually pretty good. In terms of sound quality, the ATH-M50x is much better. Sony just doesn’t have as much detail as Audio Technica. Lastly, the Sony wins hands down for comfort. I can wear the Sony for an entire day and not have any ear pain.

Review: What can I say… there’s no other words that can describe the sound quality and superior build structure. Those 45mm drivers delivers whatever you ask them to do without distortion or clipping. The included AK4331 DAC inside M50xBT2 alone is enough to explain how powerful M50xBT2 sounds like.Want Bass? It delivers… want Treble? It delivers. Anything you throw at it either through Equalizer or AT Connect App EQ will DELIVER!!LDAC? It is included and supported! Leaves wired headphones to the dust. What more do you need?I hate wired headphones and ANC so… M50xBT2 works for perfectly for me👌
